See a dream wrap here that you have to have? We will make the wrap that wins the most votes, and send it to one of the people who voted for it! Vote between August 1 to 31 by selecting the 'vote for #X' link for the design(s) you love best. Be sure to include your name and address in the email if you want to be eligible to win. Our colorway contest page has more information about voting and general contest information. Entry deadline is July 31, 2006 and the winner will be anounced September 15.

Update Sept 1, 2006: Voting is now closed. Thanks to all who participated!

Update Sept 15, 2006: Results are in!

Contest results are in and the winner is... Britt C. from Redmond WA for design #133! Britt's 'chocolate stripes' entry will become the newest Ellaroo Wrap design. Britt will receive one of the new wraps, which should be available in a few months, as well as naming rights for the design.

Everyone who voted for Britt's winning design was entered to win one of the new wraps, and the winner of the draw is Laura L of Paramus NJ. And due to an overwhelming response we decided to add one more prize - randomly selected among all votes was Leslie L. of Mountlake Terrace, WA who also will receive a new wrap.

Congratulations to our winners, compliments to all the designers who contributed over 100 beautiful and original design ideas, and thank you to everyone who participated, from all of us at Ellaroo.

#120 I once listened to an artist that wanted to "paint as a leek in one brush stroke". From white to the darkest green. I think I was about 12 when I heard this, but somehow this has stuck in my memory. So this is my suggestion. A leek!

#250 How fun this is coming up with sling designs! In Eastern Orthodox tradition, babies clothing is usually pinned with a small blue eye charm. This charm is said to deflect evil intentions brought on by others when you are out in public with the baby. I thought this sling would be safer than safety pinning the baby:)

Wrap design contest '06 entry no.249

#249 Black because I like the drama, rich color stripes of very vivid blues, greens and purples, gold accents along the edges, ends and middle. The middle “haze” would be a color thread every 3-4 warp threads and helps find the middle quickly. Each wider stripe of color has a darker stripe within it, to add depth. The gold along the edges is not the same to aid with adjustment.

#208 The colors would be similar to those found in Maija: the main color a grey sky blue, the two contrast colors a light sage green and a lavender periwinkle. I thought having an unbalanced design across the width might make it easier to adjust the rails, seeing easily which side goes to the part near the babies bottom or top.

With this colorway I feel all of the seasons. Asymmetrical wraps are my favorites while different colored rails are very helpful to any wrapper.

The visual effect is breath-taking. Rafting and hiking in the area is very popular, and since the only way to bring your child there would be in a sling, why not match it with the surroundings?

Wrap design contest '06 entry no.119

#119 The design is supposed to be symmetrical. (My paintsoftware sucks) The colors will be achieved by choosing a grey color for weft and more bright blue and purple for warp

#117 Here are my 2 designs for the contest, the first one (ed- see #116) is "regular" and the second has some of that "Ikat" that you described on the contest page.

#115 This design is funky and fashionable while still maintaining the soft flow lines that are flattering to a woman's form. The colors are vibrant and modern and could be appealing to a younger generation of babywearing parents. The style of this wrap is gender neutral and pleasing to all ages.

#114 The inspiration for this color combination is a painting I did of peacock feathers that hangs in my living room. Bold jewel tones blend together in this wrap creating a bright piece that is sure to be noticed.

#113 The stripes would be relatively thin, like the Maija, or even LaRae. They'd all be the same size, with an extra narrow white strip between each color. The colors are turquoise (like the center blue of Kristen), orange (like Melanie), deep lime green, a purpleish gray color, and rasberry (jan?).

#112 I have a piece of fabric where i absolutely love the colors but in my fantasy wrap, the stripes are a wider. The colors have a very feminine but at the same time earthly tone. the combination of the different shades of pink, browns and light maroon is so beautiful …subdued but at the same time striking and elegant.

#111 Here's an entry of one I would personally love, since I love jewel toned colors. The red on this one would be the same as the Jan and the other colors (blue, purple and green) the same as the ones in the Ysabel.

#109 I'm 4 months old to wrapping, but I have the Christiane and LOVE it. I also don't know if anything like these have been done, but these are two of my ideas/dreams for a wrap :)

#108 The third is 4 different browns. It is meant to be earthy and yet buttery warm.

#107 I love my Larae, and would love to have a second one in "opposite" cooler tones. This one is 6 colors: 2 blues, 2 greens and purple and an aqua. Most of these colors already appear in current colorways- saves on dying! The purple, and both greens can be recycled from the Larae, the aqua from Maija, and the blues from Christiane.

#106 The first one I arbitrarily named "Seattle" because it's closest to that colorway. It is 4 colors- black, red, white and medium grey. The main bold lines are off center, and the grey lines are meant to be be randomly dispersed and randomly sized.
