How fun this is coming up with sling designs! In Eastern Orthodox tradition, babies clothing is usually pinned with a small blue eye charm. This charm is said to deflect evil intentions brought on by others when you are out in public with the baby. I thought this sling would be safer than safety pinning the baby:)

Black because I like the drama, rich color stripes of very vivid blues, greens and purples, gold accents along the edges, ends and middle. The middle “haze” would be a color thread every 3-4 warp threads and helps find the middle quickly. Each wider stripe of color has a darker stripe within it, to add depth. The gold along the edges is not the same to aid with adjustment.

The colors would be similar to those found in Maija: the main color a grey sky blue, the two contrast colors a light sage green and a lavender periwinkle. I thought having an unbalanced design across the width might make it easier to adjust the rails, seeing easily which side goes to the part near the babies bottom or top.

Berry Tea. i like the horizontal line in the middle to help find the center of the wrap -- once my wraps are used enough, i don't have a nice crease to help me quickly find the center. Anything i add to my wrap to help mark the center gets uncomfortable for my baby in a back carry.

Two tones of purple, green, and the small details of black, golden yellow, and royal blue give it interest. The rails are different colors (which as a newer wrapper -I own an ER Mary-I've found invaluable!). Inspired by my 2 year old son Gabriel's painting. I've always LOVED the combination of green and purple. Ellaroos seem to all have female names, but I couldn't resist naming this one Gabriel :)

#121 "Soca river" is a river canyon that runs through Slovenia. The water is emerald green and icy cold. The mountains is white and gray and the sky intense blue. The visual effect is breath-taking.
